Queensland Delivery Fees
Generally speaking, our delivery fee, for Queensland, does not increase with the number of plants. This keeps our delivery fees simply and encourages our customers to get a second, third or even fourth plant. While this might mean 30% or 50% of the price of your fourth plant goes to extra delivery costs, we just think of this as a discount for your fourth plant.
Interstate Transportation
At Efrangipanis, our frangipanis have stayed the same price or become cheaper over the last 15 years, and as transport costs have gone up, we have stopped sending our frangipanis long distances.
A Pallet Space
The main company we used to use to transport our frangipanis south into NSW, VIC and SA charged per one square metre floor space. If a frangipani tree was 1.1m to 1.3m wide, they would transport it but not be responsible for any damaged branches.
If a frangipani tree was less than 1m wide in one direction but 1.4m to 2m wide in the other direction, they would charge two pallet spaces.
Delivery trunks are quite high, so the maximum height was around 2.3m to 2.5m high.
This means the biggest frangipani that could be delivered for the minimal transport fee was about 1m x 1m wide, x 2.4m high.
Our Frangipani Trees
While we no longer need to think about the ideal 1m x 1m x 2.4m frangipani tree for long distance transportation, many of our frangipani trees were grown with that in mind.
For local, and south east Queenland delivery the ideal frangipani is around 80cm x 80cm wide, x 2m high for our “standard” transport option. The ideal height of around 1.5m high is for a cheaper option. And frangipani trees wider than 1 metre, we deliver using our “oversized” or “large” option.
